It
was a hot and humid day with temperatures creeping into the mid 90’s
(35-37C). It didn’t seem quite so bad in
the forest, except on that uphill climb to the finish! Trails were still a bit muddy in places from
the extremely heavy rain on Tuesday, but the parks staff had spent many hours
removing fallen trees from the trails.
One off-trail control was a bit hidden by a newly fallen tree, but otherwise
the affects of the storm were pretty much unnoticed by the participants.
