There were several
comments about how interesting the courses were, despite it being such a small
area. The parking lot was full to
overflowing, partly because this is also a popular launch and take-out site for
paddlers on the Little Miami River, and some people ended up parking on the grass out by the main
road. (Interestingly, in the past year,
the park removed a shelter building and enlarged the parking lot where the
building had been, but they still need additional capacity for busy summer
weekends).
Thanks to Joshua Torbeck, Clermont County Parks Director, who suggested this
park as an orienteering site. We may
well be mapping a couple other Clermont County parks in the near future.
