Queen City Adventure Running Series (QCARS) is a series of short summer orienteering events, featuring 2 short, fast, and fun courses more open park land and campus areas. Season pass (includes all QCARS events, plus bonus events) is just $30 for OCIN members and $45 for non-members! Entry to individual QCARS events is $10 for members, $15 for non-members. Your best 3 QCARS events count for season awards.
The season will have 7 or 8 events in June through August. Your best 3 races count for season awards. Season pass sales opening soon.

Saturday, Aug 29, 2026 QCARS 6, Corn Maze Orienteering, New Paris, Ohio
Starts 10am to noon. Do one course or both for a simgle fee. Please
pre-register through Event Reg (opening soon).
Fees $10 for children age 5-20 (4 and under is free); $15 for adults 21+. Free for QCARS season pass holders.
Although this event is included in the QCARS season standings, we have to pay Today's Harvest. If you are a QCARS season pass holder, please consider making a donation to OCIN equivalent to the adult or youth entry fee. This includes all of Today's Harvest (Activity Acres) activities. Please register each person individually.
At least two courses will be offered: short will be around 2-3 km; long will be much longer. We may add a medium course as well. Select short or long (or both) when pre-registering; if we add another length, you can add it on site. The Maze will not be open to the public until September, so you get to see it first!.

September 19, 2026 Girl Scout B.I.G. Expo
TENTATIVE: Girl Scouts "Believe in Girls" Expo at Xavier Univ. Cintas Center.
OCIN hopes to have an exhibit. It is unknown yet if we will have a map and courses.

September 26, 2026 Mt Airy Forest Festival
Mt Airy Forest; OCIN will offer beginner and intermediate orienteering courses.

September 27, 2026 Rec Fest at Sawyer Point
TENTATIVE: Sawyer Point; OCIN will offer a short beginner course and a longer more challenging course, similar to our QCARS summer series since this is a small and mostly open area.
October 3, 2026 Hisey Park
Hisey Fall Festival, courses to be determined. Starts 11 am to 2 pm, course closing at 4 pm.
October 17, 2026 East Fork State Park
East Fork, south side, white thru red courses. Starts 10 to 1.

Adventure with a map! Participants get a detailed map and try to locate a series of control points shown on the map. Suitable for all ages, you may compete for the fastest time, or just enjoy a leisurely hike, while using our map to explore the park. There will be six different courses of varying difficulty and length - there is one suitable for every adventurer.
Free map and compass instruction for beginners. Event fee is $10 for Orienteering Cincinnati members, $15 for non-members for groups of 1 to 5 doing a course together. $5 for Youth under 18. Starts are open from 11 am to 1 pm.

Monday (Memorial Day), May 31, 2027 Liberty Quest VIII, Liberty, IN
Urban Score-style course through the town of Liberty. Find as many control points as you can in any order. At each control point, you will find the answer to a history or trivia question to record on your score-card. You get points for each correct answer. But you will rapidly lose points if you go over the 3 hour time limit, so it is better to get back ON TIME even if you haven't found every point.
